After the career classes, participants receive one-on-one career coaching with a professional career coach. The sessions focus on review and discussion of the classes, as well as how what they’re learning fits into the student’s overall career path.
The coach will also provide personal one-on-one life skills sessions, as well as occasional group sessions focusing on self-development, self-awareness and behavioral skills.
Self-development skills covered will include self-confidence, self-respect, self-control, personal empowerment and anger management.
Interaction skills covered will include honesty, trust, taking responsibility, teamwork and respect for others.
PSA’s current Lead coach is Roni Abrams, President of Roni Abrams Associates Limited, a coaching, training and management consulting firm. Abrams specializes in perceptual training, interpersonal communications, executive and presentation coaching, managing change, sales, negotiations, strategic planning and networking.
Roni always provides program content for all other coaches to ensure program consistency.

Jody Lyons has run her own small costume jewelry business for over 30 years. Her unique line is sold around the world in boutiques and specialty shops as well as museum stores and botanical garden shops. She has been the designer and manager of her small staff and has experience in all aspects of running a small artisanal business including employee management, production, sales and marketing. Jody has also earned an M. Ed in Education from Columbia’s Teachers College. Her clinical experience has been as a therapist in group and individual settings working often with substance abusers.
Elizabeth Ann Foster
Elizabeth Ann Foster is a highly accomplished and driven professional with a history of success in sales, banking, and management of finance and audits. In each venue she has maximized the expertise and array of skills she has developed for success. She has utilized her leadership and problem solving skills effectively to develop a team approach for job efficacy. Ms. Foster has excelled as an Auditor with Price Waterhouse/Arthur Anderson, a Municipal Fund Manager with Strong Capital Management, an Audit Manager with Bristol Myers Squibb, a Senior Analyst with Phillip Morris, a Telemarketing Manager with Bank of American, a Vice President and Branch Manager for Bangor Savings Bank, and a Customer Care Consultant with Life Alert, Inc. She holds an MBA and Supervisor Certification from the University of Maine, , holds a BA in Public Accounting from Fordham University, and has pursued graduate studies in politics, philosophy and economics at Oxford University. She recently completed the Johnson O’Connor aptitude test and is very excited to be able to help in volunteering her time to the latest group of future leaders!
